Leapmotor B10 launched in Thailand, Will Malaysia be next?
KUALA LUMPUR: Stellantis-backed Leapmotor is set to begin producing the C10 electric SUV in Malaysia by the end of this year, followed by the launch of the B10 CKD model. The latter is the brand’s first global C-segment SUV, which just made its way to Thailand.

The new Leapmotor B10 underpins the innovative LEAP 3.5 architecture, a highly integrated platform that sets the foundation for advanced features and performance. It measures 4515 mm in length, 1873 mm in width, and 1652 mm in height and spans a wheelbase of 2735 mm. Compared to the Leapmotor C10 (a D-segment SUV), it is 224 mm smaller and has a 90 mm shorter wheelbase.

The Thai-spec Leapmotor B10 is powered by a rear-wheel drive motor, generating a maximum power of 218 PS and a peak torque of 240 Nm. It enables the vehicle to run from zero to 100 kmph in 8 seconds and hit a top speed of 170 kmph.

Leapmotor has packed the electric SUV with smart creature comforts, including a 14.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system, an 8.8-inch LCD instrument cluster, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, a wireless charging pad, an advanced voice assistant, 6 speakers, 64-colour ambient lighting, leather upholstery, and electrically adjustable and heated/ventilated front seats. As for safety, it comes equipped with seven airbags, a 360-degree camera, and a full ADAS suite.
