Lego adds American muscle to the latest Lego Speed Champions kit

KUALA LUMPUR: Lego collaborates with Dodge to add American muscle to its latest Speed Champions kit and give the young car fans a reason to rejoice this new year. This is not the first time that the toy manufacturing company has done this, earlier it added Bugatti Chiron and Aston Martin DB5 into its flamboyant line-up.

This time around it’s the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon and the Dodge Charger R/T whose downsized versions have been produced to impress the fans. The Lego Speed Champions kit includes mini-cars, the yellow Challenger SRT Demon and the black Charger R/T. Additionally, there are mini-figures like a Charger driver, a Challenger driver, and a race marshal inside the set and individual components for both cars.

The classic Charger comes with an alternate engine cover and a removable supercharger. While the Dodge Challenger is benefitted from decorative stickers, two set of wheels, a rear spoiler, dual exhaust, and a removable windshield.

Steve Beahm, the head of Passenger Car Brands, Dodge, Chrysler and Fiat said, “We know that many of our Dodge//SRT enthusiasts become fans of the brand at an early age, and like me, also grow up building Lego vehicles that we dream of one day driving on the road,” he added, “With the new Speed Champions set featuring the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon and the 1970 Dodge Charger R/T, our youngest fans can now build and jump into the ‘driver’s’ seat of two of their ultimate fantasy muscle cars.”

Buying the new Lego Speed Champions kit won’t be as expensive as its other Technic kits. It sports a price of $29.99 (RM 123.43) in the US.

When will the new kit be arriving local stores is yet to be known. So stay tuned with us for more latest updates regarding the same.
