Malaysian Spec Mazda MX-5, first look revealed
Kuala Lumpur: The all new Malaysian-spec Mazda MX-5, was revealed by a local Mazda dealer on Facebook. With this teaser, the excitement is on the rise to own this two-seater roadster. Although the price is on the higher scale but it tantamounts to its heavily loaded features by the Japanese automaker.
MX5 boasts a packed list of features like, aesthetically crafted 17-inch wheels, i-ELOOP (brake energy regeneration), lane departure warning, auto-adaptive headlamps with high beam control and ABS/EBD/BA/DSC. Also the car comes with next-gen car features like keyless entry and pushes start, MZD Connect with a seven-inch screen, Automatic Climate control and Cruise control. Most notable among these is the Nine-speaker Bose surround sound system with seat headrest-mounted speakers, which puts MX5 inline to German aristocracy -BMW Z4.
According to sources, The MX-5 will only be available in Malaysia with a six-speed automatic transmission. There won't be any manual option available here. Although the engine being offered in Malaysia is more powerful of the two offered internationally, boasting a 2.0 litre SkyActiv petrol motor with 155 hp and 200 Nm of torque.
Mazda MX5 comes at a whooping price tag of RM220k, without insurance. Well, it is a big sum for a small car, but as we discussed earlier, the car is at least very well specified for that money. The ND Mazda MX-5 will be officially launched in Malaysia soon. Stay tuned for more updates!
