Mazda MX-30 leaked ahead of Tokyo Motor Show
KUALA LUMPUR: An image of the upcoming Mazda MX-30, the first electric vehicle of the carmaker, has been leaked online prior to its global debut. Mazda has already announced that it would introduce the SUV at 2019 Tokyo Motor Show, which will be held between October 24th to November 4th. Moreover, the car has also been teased by the brand just before some days.

In July this year, the popular carmaker Mazda filed a trademark for “MX-30”. However, it was not clear then whether it will be used for the new model or not. However, it was confirmed later that the trademark is for the fully electric model of Mazda.
As for now, an image of the MX-30 (Concept) is surfacing on the internet. It can be easily identified as the crossover having a silhouette, which was also shown in the official teaser. It gets a coupe-like roofline along with a long bonnet. The SUV gets a recessed front grille along with the headlamps which are placed on it. A thick bar is present to make two different intakes, and the slim fog lamps are also present at the corners.

Coming to the sides, as per the image, there is a black body along with the RX-8 style doors. The car gets a dual-tone finish, and the C-pillar’s base comes with an off-colored trim piece.
It seems like the new Mazda to get a 35.5 kWh battery along with an electric motor. The later is capable of churning out a maximum power of 142 hp along with a peak torque of 264 Nm. The battery is expected to provide an overall driving range of 193 km to 225 Km.

However, all the specifications concerning the new Mazda MX-30 are based on rumours. We have to wait until the car makes its global debut to know further details.
