Mercedes-Benz CLA 45 AMG and GLA 45 AMG Facelift
KUALA LUMPUR: Buyers of Mercedes-Benz CLA 45 AMG and GLA 45 AMG will be glad to know that the pair will receive the increment in power that was introduced recently for the refreshed Mercedes-AMG A 45, which was modified alongwith the face-lifted W176 A-Class, but there will not be too long to wait.
According to Auto-car, the update need not to wait till the cars have their respective facelifts, as informed by Tobias Moers, Mercedes-AMG boss. The M133 AMG 2.0 litre twin-scroll turbo four-pot's output has been increased to 381 hp at 6,000 rpm and 475 Nm of torque at 2,250 to 5,000 rpm, which is up at 21 hp and 25 Nm from the pre-facelift A 45 AMG.
The enhanced output is not single thing to find its new way in the pair of - the CLA 45 AMG and GLA 45 AMG. This will have mechanical improvements similar to the A 45 facelift sports now. These involve the revisions to the AMG Speed-shift DCT seven-speed transmission, which receives shorter ratios in third to seventh gear and improved response and shift times.
The A 45's new mechanical front axle locking differential will be gained by the car, which is claimed by the AMG and improves traction significantly when its driven hard.
