New Kia Seltos teased just ahead of the LA debut

KUALA LUMPUR: Kia Motors America has teased the new Seltos via facebook. The carmaker has dropped a teaser of a new SUV, whose designing is similar like the B-segment SUV, Seltos. It is scheduled to make its debut at the 2019 Los Angeles Auto Show on November 20th.

To recall, the Kia Seltos compact SUV was launched earlier this year in India. The SUV is available with three engine options - one diesel and two petrol mills. It has a 1.6-litre diesel unit, which is capable of churning out a maximum power of 136 PS. Next in the list is 1.6-litre T-GDI turbocharged mill, which can make a maximum power of 177 PS. The last one is the 2.0-litre naturally-aspirated unit, which is capable of pushing out a maximum power of 149 PS.

Design-wise, the 2020 Kia Seltos comes with a distinctive two-tier LED headlight assembly, which is known as the Crown Jewel LED headlights along with “Heartbeat” LED DRLs. Moreover, there are LED tail lamps at the back. The car gets several options when it comes to the wheels ranging from 16 to 18 inches. Furthermore, the SUV comes with six themes along with eight customisable colors.

Inside the 2020 Kia Seltos, a range of high-quality materials are used to build the cabin. A 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system having the split-screen facility is present. There is also UVO Connect telematics system, an eight-speaker Bose premium sound system, and an 8.0-inch head-up display. The car is also equipped with a Sound Mood Lighting system.

Speaking of the safety features, the 2020 Seltos comes with six airbags and an electronic vehicle safety system suite. These include the car’s Vehicle Stability Management system, electronic stability control, traction control, hill start assist, and front as well as rear parking sensors.
