Sin Cars Soon to Start Production of its First Devil Child - R1

KUALA LUMPUR: Over the years, the Automobile industry has witnessed the arrival and exit of many new players. These new shining stars, in the highly competitive car-making business, have to face many challenges ranging from finance to permits. But, only a few are able to stand the test of time, and are able to write their name in bold letters amongst the renowned one's. One such automobile company is Sin Cars, set up in Germany in 2012, and since then it has successfully created driving marvels which are a treat to the eyes. R1 is one of its dynamic creations, and will be its first production car.

R1 was first unveiled in a pre-production form at the 2013 Goodwood Festival of Speed, then in 2014, R1's on-road prototype was showcased at the Autosport show. Now, for the current year, Sin Cars have planned a double treat for its newly formed fan base, firstly the racing version of R1 is all set to participate in the 2015 European GT4 Series and secondly its road-version will debut at 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show.

The R1, which is being introduced as a genuine road car, would be build on a tabular spaceframe chassis. A sequential gearbox would come as standard with paddle shifters, though buyers can opt for a six-seed manual too.

Underneath, its carbon-fiber body this mechanical beast holds a General Motors sourced 6.2L V8 engine, with a maximum output of 525 PS. But for speed-lovers, this R1 will be available in two additional engine variants- a 7.0 litre V8 engine producing 530 hp and a 6.2 litre supercharger V8 with 650 hp.

The interior side receives a leather covered dashboard, multi-function steering wheel, Recaro seats, and an integrated information system.

According to sources, the company will soon start the R1 production and only then we'll be able to judge whether this product is worth the hype that it has already generated.
