“The all-new Suzuki Fronx signifies the next phase of Suzuki’s growth in Malaysia. It blends practicality, performance, and design in a way that truly resonates with the Malaysian lifestyle. With its ASEAN NCAP five-star rating, customers can expect both excitement and peace of mind in one beautifully crafted package,” said Mohd Rizal Jailan, Chief Executive Officer of Naza Automotive Group.

The Fronx sits on Suzuki’s latest lightweight platform and takes the familiar SUV template, then adds a coupe-like roofline. The result is a compact footprint that should be easy to place in the city, with enough presence not to disappear in traffic.

The front end gets a wide chrome-framed grille flanked by LED multi-reflector headlamps with DRLs and integrated signal lamps. At the rear, a horizontal LED light bar ties both tail lamps together, while the wheelarch claddings, roof rails and front, rear and side skid plates give the Fronx the usual SUV visual cues.

It rolls on 16-inch alloy wheels and is offered in a mix of single and two-tone finishes. Two-tone options include Rising Orange with Cool Black roof, Savanna Ivory with Cool Black roof and Ice Grayish Blue with Cool Black roof. Single-tone paint choices are Pearl Mellow Deep Red, Cool Black, Pearl Snow White and Magma Gray.

Inside, Suzuki has gone for a simple but modern layout with the driver as the main focus. Sitting in the middle of the dashboard is a 9-inch HD touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support. The Fronx also packs a Head-Up Display and a 360-degree camera system, so key information and all-round visibility are taken care of.

A three-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel with tilt and telescopic adjustment, cruise control and wireless charging further underline the Fronx’s comfort and convenience brief.

Suzuki is also talking up refinement. The cabin is designed with superior NVH performance in mind, using a high articulation index to better keep external noise out. The idea is to make the Fronx quieter and more relaxing in everyday driving, whether you are in the front or back seats.

The seats feature a three-dimensional contoured design, with embossed edges and a dual-tone interior theme to give the cabin a more premium look and feel. Practicality has not been forgotten either, with seven storage compartments, 308 litres of boot space and 60:40 split-folding rear seats to help swallow larger items for weekend trips.

Hybrid powertrain with over 700 km range

Under the bonnet is Suzuki’s 1.5-litre K15C four-cylinder hybrid petrol engine. Output is rated at 103 PS at 6,000 rpm and 138 Nm of torque at 4,400 rpm, paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission that also comes with paddle shifters.

The hybrid system uses a 12V 10Ah lithium ion battery and is backed by a 37-litre fuel tank. Suzuki quotes a WLTP driving range of more than 700 km, so the Fronx should appeal to those who want the efficiency boost of a hybrid without moving into full EV territory or worrying about charging.

MacPherson strut front suspension, a torsion beam rear setup and ventilated front discs complete the mechanical package, aiming to deliver a stable, predictable drive both in town and on the highway. Ground clearance stands at 170 mm, giving some extra reassurance when dealing with poorer road surfaces or steep ramps.

Safety is another big pillar for the Fronx Hybrid. The model has secured a five-star ASEAN NCAP rating and is built around Suzuki’s TECT body structure, which is designed to absorb and distribute crash energy more effectively.

    • Six airbags

    • ABS with EBD and Brake Assist

    • Hill Hold Control and Electronic Stability Program (ESP)

    • Dual Sensor Brake Support II (DSBS II)

    • Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)

    • Blind Spot Monitor (BSM) and Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA)

    • Lane Change Assist (LCA)

    • Lane Departure Warning (LDW)

Warranty, price and early bird promo

For ownership coverage, the Fronx Hybrid is sold with a 3-year or 100,000 km vehicle warranty, plus a 5-year or 100,000 km battery warranty, whichever comes first.

To kick things off, Naza Eastern Motors is also rolling out an Early Birds Promotion. Buyers can choose between an RM4,000 rebate or a free Suzuki Genuine Accessories Package that bundles a multi-roof rack, roof basket and door visors. This offer runs until 31 December 2025.

“We are confident that the Fronx will attract a new generation of Malaysian drivers, those who seek individuality, safety, and style in a compact SUV. This model captures everything Suzuki stands for: quality, reliability, and excitement. We invite everyone to experience it first-hand at the Suzuki Lifestyle Roadshow and discover why the Fronx is set to redefine Suzuki’s presence in the market,” Mohd Rizal added.

Suzuki Lifestyle Roadshow at Pavilion Bukit Jalil

Following the launch, the Suzuki Fronx Hybrid will be the main highlight at the Suzuki Lifestyle Roadshow, happening from 19 to 23 November 2025 at the Piazza, Pavilion Bukit Jalil.

Visitors can check out the Fronx up close, take part in activities, enjoy promotions and go for test drives. Suzuki will also be showing its official accessories package, a selection of pre-owned vehicles and collaborations with lifestyle and performance names such as Ducati, GoPro, Eyez Optometry, Polaroid Eyewear and Monster Energy.

The idea is to position the Fronx, and Suzuki’s wider line-up, not just as transport but as part of a broader lifestyle push that mixes everyday usability with a bit of attitude.
