2026 GAC GS3 Emzoom introduced in Malaysia, check what’s new?

KUALA LUMPUR: The local distributor of GAC vehicles, WTC Automotif, has rolled out the refreshed GAC GS3 Emzoom in Malaysia. The update brings minor design enhancements and new colour options, with the mechanical setup and feature kit remaining the same as earlier. 

GAC GS3 Emzoom: Variants and price

The locally-assembled SUV is now offered in two variants - Exclusive and Premium R, priced as follows -

GS3 Emzoom Exclusive	RM 116,800
GS3 Emzoom Premium R	RM 126,800

For a limited time, the company also offers exciting rebates of up to RM 18,500, with monthly instalments from as low as RM 912.

GAC GS3 Emzoom: What’s new?

New front grille

Guided by the theme “Refreshed, Ready, Revved Up,” the new GS3 Emzoom benefits from a redesigned, flowing diamond star front grille, featuring black horizontal bars. Notably, the new grille design is only for the top-spec Premium R trim, as the Exclusive variant keeps the same old design.

New colour options

The GS3 Emzoom Premium R also gets a new two-tone exterior option for the 2026 model year, enhancing the SUV’s visual appeal. The upgraded model is available in four colour options - 

• Graphite Grey with Black Roof
• Super Star Silver with Black Roof
• Frost White with Black Roof
• Asphalt Black

GAC GS3 Emzoom: What’s unchanged?

Same mechanical setup 

Powering the 2026 GS3 Emzoom is the same 1.5-litre turbocharged engine available on the outgoing model. The said engine generates a maximum power of 177 PS and a peak torque of 270 Nm. Power is sent to the front wheels via a 7-speed wet dual-clutch transmission.

This setup results in an impressive 0-100 kmph acceleration of just 8 seconds, while maintaining a fuel consumption of 5.9 litres per 100 km, meeting Energy Efficient Vehicle standards.

Same feature kit

Well, this is essentially a cosmetic refresh and not a feature upgrade, thus the SUV is equipped with the same equipment package. It includes -

Backed by a 5-year/150,000 km vehicle warranty and a 7-year/180,000 km engine and transmission warranty, the refreshed EMZOOM will soon be available at GAC showrooms nationwide, with test drives open to customers from 9 to 10 May.
