Kuala Lumpur: If you are living in Sabah (the place where UMW Toyota sold its very first vehicles) and have plans to buy a new Toyota vehicle then rest assured that your vehicle will be delivered to you within the shortest possible time as the UMW Toyota Motor's New Sabah Integrated Quality Hub (SIQH) is now operational in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. As part of Toyota’s Overall Quality Assurance efforts, UMW Toyota Motor Sdn Bhd, the authorized distributor of Toyota and Lexus models in Malaysia has invested RM36 million to develop the new SIQH at the Kota Kinabalu Industrial Park (KKIP).  The authorized  Toyota vehicles distributor also raised RM 327,000 earlier in October, this year, in an effort to protect the Malaysian environment. According to a statement released by the UMW Toyota Motor, the new SIQH is spanned over 8.6 acres and came into operation last month. The new Sabah Integrated Quality Hub will conduct delivery quality checks of all Toyota vehicles before they reach to the customers.

The company statement also reads that the new SIQH has the maximum capacity to stock up to one thousand vehicles at a time and its crucial to UMW Toyota Motor's commitment to deliver vehicles in best quality. The development of the new SIQH is further guided by the Toyota Production System (TPS) principle. The new SIQH will provide a range of services including the Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI), Centralised Stockyard, Pre-Delivery Service (PDS) and a strict Final Quality Check (FQC).

Speaking on the operations of the new Sabah Integrated Quality Hub facility, Deputy Chairman of UMW Toyota Motor, Akio Takeyama has said that the customer satisfaction has always been the priority of the company and the new SIQH facility embodies its guiding principle of continuous improvement.
