Volkswagen Cares mobile app surpasses 30k subscribers mark
KUALA LUMPUR: In October 2018, Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM) launched the “Volkswagen Cares”, a mobile application for its customers to engage with the brand and continuously improve the ownership experience. Fast forward to today, the company is celebrating the milestone of achieving 30,000 subscribers of the app with a total download of 16,498 members in 2019 and 9,483 new members in 2020.
The mobile application is a part of the Volkswagen Cares aftersales initiative, which is committed to providing the best service to VW owners in the country. The app was exclusively developed for the Malaysian market and is managed locally.
Through the Volkswagen Cares app, VPCM offers the following services to the customers:
- It provides information related to both sales and aftersales such as online sales and service offers, online service booking, test drive booking, service action vehicle check, and many more.
- It is an essential tool for aftersales offers such as the free 3-year service vouchers, which are linked and accessible exclusively via the mobile app.
- Those who own the VW vehicles for more than five years get exclusive benefits under the Volkswagen Care Plus (VCP) programme.
- The app is loaded with owners’ rewards, educational videos, tips, and event updates.
- It also offers 24 hours Roadside Service Assistance for customers’ convenience and ease of mind.
- Non-Volkswagen owners can also access the mobile app for sales offers, video content, and event updates.
Pleased with the customers’ response towards the Volkswagen Cares app, Erik Winter, Managing Director of VPCM said, “The app was created to make our services more accessible to our customers, and further improve their overall ownership experience. The convenience of accessing the Volkswagen world via mobile app is offered in different Volkswagen markets around the world, and what we are also delighted to note is that our app has seen an unparalleled take-up rate compared to other markets managed by the Porsche Holdings Group.”
“This success will only spur us to continue improving to engage and serve our customers better, and in fact, we are already looking into revamping and further enhancing the app’s features and offerings by next year,” he added.
Volkswagen Cares app is available on both Android and iOS platforms and can be downloaded from the respective app stores.
