Locally assembled in Malaysia
The Wey G9 will be offered as a locally assembled model in Malaysia. Great Wall Motor Malaysia rolled out its first locally assembled unit last week at the EP Manufacturing Bhd plant in Melaka. Notably, the Wey G9 is the first premium Chinese New Energy MPV to be assembled in the local market. The local assembly ensures customers “benefit from international engineering standards together with local quality assurance.”
The partnership with EPMB is an important milestone in GWM’s regional expansion journey. It supports the brand’s commitment to localisation, industry development and its long-term ambition to establish Malaysia as a strategic hub for the ASEAN region.
