The 2025 Denza D9 gets premium Nappa leather upholstery in top trims, complemented by real wood veneer and suede-lined headliners. The MPV gets zero-gravity captain’s chairs in the second row with 10-way power adjustment, sleep-style headrests, electric leg rests, and 10-point massage, heating and ventilation. The front seats are eight-way power-adjustable, memory-equipped, and ventilated. The Premium all-wheel-drive (AWD) version adds massage and memory functions. The third-row seating is manual four-way adjust with enough space for adults. The cabin is extremely quiet, courtesy the laminated windows and dual-pane glass. The dashboard is dominated by a 15.6-inch central infotainment touchscreen with physical shortcut buttons. It supports Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, and voice-activated ‘Hi Denza’ assistant with 5G connectivity. There’s a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster. The Premium AWD trims also add a heads-up display (HUD) and digital rear-view mirror. The cabin gets customizable 64-colour ambient lighting. A Dynaudio 14-speaker surround system tuned by Bjarke delivers concert-like clarity and depth. The rear entertainment module comprises two 10-inch seatback screens and dual touchscreen controls embedded in the armrests for climate, seating, and media.

The 2025 Denza D9 departs from the typical box-on-wheels MPV styling. It gets sculpted panels with gentle curves and high shoulder lines that forge a sleek, protective stance. The EV gets an illuminated vertical-slat grille. The car gets all-around LED lighting. A horizontal signature light bar connects the headlights. Sharp, meteor-inspired projector headlamps with adaptive lighting flank the grille. Turn signals are integrated into the bumper’s outer edges. Glossy black pillars and the refined chrome roofline trim create a levitating visual effect. The car gets soft-close powered doors on both sides with low step-in height. Chromed window surrounds and pinstripes add to the premium feel. The 2025 Denza D9 runs on 18-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels paired with premium Michelin or Continental tires. At the back, the MPV gets a full-width light bar that connects the tail-end. The taillight’s detailing adds elegance.  There’s a hidden wiper and spoiler. The wiper nestles under the roof spoiler.

The 2025 Denza D9 is mounted on MacPherson front strut and rear multi-link suspension. The top-level trims gets Denza’s DiSus-C ‘intelligent damping’ adaptive system with multiple modes. Adaptive dampers control the MPV’s body roll and nose dive effectively. But because of the 3.11m wheelbase, some body roll remains in sharp corners. The second-row captain chairs is almost a lounge on wheels. In Comfort suspension mode, even rough roads feel soft with minimal jolts. But some vertical pitching is witnessed over undulating surfaces. High regenerative settings via paddles enable genuine one-pedal operation. But the effect is focused more on energy recovery than handling.

The 2025 Denza D9 Advanced trim is equipped with a single motor that produces 313PS/360Nm, with a mileage of 520km. The Premium version gets a dual-motor setup that produces 374 PS/470 Nm, with a mileage of 480km. Both models are powered by BYD’s 103kWh Blade battery, paired with 166kW fast-charging support. City performance is smooth and refined. But there’s a small lag off the line before cruising momentum builds. On highways, the Premium model delivers strong torque and responsive throttle. The Advanced model feels more relaxed, not much thrilling.

The MPV gets a 360-degree surround-view camera system, comprising 4 external cameras to deliver full overhead vision for parking and low-speed manoeuvring. Eight sensors come as standard. The Premium model comes may include up to 12 sensors for refined low-speed detection. Other safety features include multiple airbags, traction control, and blind-spot detection.

The 2025 Denza D9 has a starting price of RM 259,000. It’s a bit high-priced compared to its European and Japanese rivals. But the MPV offers superb comfort and comes with great features that make it a desirable car.
