2020 Yamaha X-Max gets new colours
KUALA LUMPUR: The 2020 edition of the X-Max will be rolling out in new colours with a matte theme. The company has added three new colours to X-Max spec-sheet, including grey, blue and white. The inclusion of new colours hasn’t affected the pricing of the scooter as it continues to be available from RM 21,500 (without insurance, road tax and registration).
Talking about the scooter, the 2020 Yamaha X-Max comes with an LCD instrument panel that’s flanked by two analogue gauges, keyless start system as standard, ABS, and switchable traction control for providing added confidence to the rider.
There is generous storage available underneath the seat as well as the front fairing setup. While the former is capable of accommodating two full-size helmets, the latter comes with a 12-volt outlet for added convenience while you are on the go.
With a fuel tank capacity of 13.2 litres, the X-Max offers plenty of room to travel without hitting the petrol stations often. Yamaha has equipped it with a 15-inch wheel at the front that is shod with a 120/70 tyre and a 14-inch wheel at the rear that wears 140/70 tyre.
Like other scooters in the segment, the X-Max also comes with a CVT transmission which transfers power to the wheels. Powering the 2020 Yamaha X-Max is a SOHC single-cylinder, four-stroke engine with a displacement of 250 cc. The unit is potent to deliver a max power of 22.8 PS at 7,000 rpm and a peak torque of 24.3 Nm at 5,500 rpm.
The scooter is blessed with an electronic fuel injection system with Yamaha’s Blue Core technology that guarantees exceptional fuel economy as well as supreme power delivery. The scooter is available at authorized Hong Leong Yamaha Malaysia dealership outlets in new colours. Explore the nearest dealer for grabbing your model.
