The BMW i4 M50 leaves behind the M3 Competition with its mind-boggling acceleration. Its performance on twisting country roads is quite astounding when equipped with optional 20-inch wheels. Surprisingly, the i4 M50 retains the M3's razor-sharp front end. It handles well when you drive it in spirited mode and does not feel noticeably heavier. However, the i4 M50, like the M3, falls short in terms of driving involvement. It's undoubtedly fast, yet it fails to establish a connection with the driver.
