My first proper gateway with the Mazda CX-5 was a drive up to Ipoh, as the car felt impressively composed throughout the trip. The steering had that signature Mazda precision, making winding stretches genuinely fun and thrilling. To my surprise, the ride comfort struck a pleasant balance, absorbing rougher patches without losing composure or chassis stability. Inside, the cabin materials felt like a step above, while the seats supported me quite well for long hauls. The sound insulation also left me speechless, ensuring the conversions could never stop even when trucks passed by. My only observation was that the sharper bumps felt a bit firm for the rear passengers.
