It has been eight months with the Mini Cooper SE 3-Door, and I find it to be the perfect combination of modern electric innovation and classic Mini fun. The car's 1,426 kg curb weight feels hefty when compared to the Cooper S, causing some stiffness while steering and cornering. However, what I really appreciate is the regenerative braking system that can be easily adjusted. With a simple toggle switch, I get the flexibility to choose between low-level and heavy regeneration. The regeneration mode allows for abrupt deceleration without touching the brake pedal.
