The 2025 Mini Aceman is the spiritual successor to the Clubman. The Aceman is also the first Mini to be offered exclusively as an electric vehicle (EV). Its front fascia gets an octagonal-type, closed-off grille with a small lower intake. The headlights are rather uniquely shaped and get distinctive daytime running lights (DRLs). The door handles are retractable. The 2025 Mini Aceman gets prominent body cladding on all sides. This lends an aggressive stance. The car gets all-around LED lighting with signature Union Jack taillights. 

The cabin of the 2025 Mini Aceman is a balance of practicality and premium bits. It gets Vescin leatherette upholstery in Dark Petrol colour. Recycled and eco-friendly materials have been widely used in the cabin. The hard plastic parts are cleverly shielded from the naked eye. Plenty of knitted fabric covers the top half of the dashboard and large sections on the doors. The plastic and physical buttons are nicely damped to lend the cabin a more premium look and a visually appealing feel.

The highlight of the dashboard is the circular 9.4-inch touchscreen infotainment unit connected to a multi-speaker audio system. The screen also doubles up as the driver’s information unit. Infotainment is powered by the Mini Operating System 9 with Mini Experiences Modes. The touchscreen controls almost all functions. Physical switchgear is minimal and includes only a panel of controls below the infotainment unit, the steering wheel buttons, and the column stalks. While the climate control unit is automatic, most functions are hidden between multiple submenu layers. But the icons are sharp and touch-response time is quick. There are dedicated climate-related buttons (front demist and heated rear screen). There’s also a toggle switch for the drive modes that includes a Go-Kart option.

Is the Mini Aceman spacious?

With 4,079mm length, 1,514mm width, and 1,754mm height, the 2025 Mini Aceman is a compact five-passenger crossover. The driving position is fundamentally sound. The seat, steering wheel, and pedals are all lined up neatly with each other. With the adjustable steering wheel, finding the most comfortable driving position isn’t difficult. But it still doesn’t feel as commanding as its competitors. It’s higher than the Mini Cooper EV. The John Cooper Works front seats get a lot of bolstering on the sides that hold the occupants in place. Lumbar support adds to the traveling comfort. There’s a lot of headroom and legroom for two six-foot-tall adults in the front seat. The 2025 Mini Aceman feels narrower than most of its rivals and broader passengers may find their elbows occasionally scraping against each other.

The cabin has a number of storage spaces. The low-set central console is long. It’s shaped like a long tray and gets a pair of cupholders, a small lidded storage cubby, and two smartphone charging pads. The rear seat is more comfortable for two occupants instead of three. The 2025 Mini Aceman gets 300 litres of boot space. But the rear seat doesn’t slide to increase the cargo area.

The 2025 Mini Aceman is equipped with a front-mounted electric motor that produces 218PS/ 330Nm. The motor is powered by a 54.2 kWh nickel-cobalt-manganese (NCM) battery pack. The car has a rather firm suspension system and some of the harder bumps and potholes on city roads are felt inside the cabin. This leads to a bit crunchy low-speed ride. But it never gets uncomfortable. The 2025 Mini Aceman is a perfect car for urban commuting. On highways, it offers a planted ride. The steering wheel responds sharply, though it doesn’t offer much grip.
