One of the most futuristic looking SUVs currently available, the Peugeot 5008 is essentially a 7-seater avatar of the 3008, which is available with one petrol engine option in a single fully loaded variant. Colors offered on the Peugeot 5008 are Emerald Crsytal, Pearl White, Amazonite Grey, and Nera Black.
On the inside, the Peugeot 5008 is adorned with the same levels of next-gen styling theme as on the outside. The overall design of the cabin and dashboard looks very futuristic and luxurious at the same time.
The steering wheel with a flat theme for the top and bottom portions as well as hexagonal center boss feel as if the overall cockpit has been lifted off right from a gaming console. The same hexagonal theme has executed for the fully digital instrument console as well, which looks funky with its colored display.
At the center of the dashboard sits the free-standing 8-inch trapezoidal touchscreen infotainment system, which does get the company of sleek looking AC vents finished in chrome. The rest of the center console gets brushed aluminium and piano black finishes, whereas toggle like switches for automatic climate control and other functions look inspired from that of a fighter jet.
The other prominent features of the Peugeot 5008’s interiors include 8-way power adjustable driver’s seat with memory function, adjustable seat cushion, manually height-adjustable co-driver seat, heating and massage function for front seats, leather upholstery, cruise control, electric parking brake, 6 speakers, dual zone climate control, push-button start with keyless entry and onboard wi-fi. The overall seating layout and space levels inside the Peugeot 5008 are impressive, however, the knee room and legroom in the third row are at a premium.
With the 5008, Peugeot has shown the world how a weird looking design can be transformed into a captivating looking one. In its latest avatar, the Peugeot 5008 has a very futuristic appeal in its overall design, which is designed to worth noticing.
At the front, the Peugeot 5008 is adorned with an all-new face, at the center of which is present a smiley-like chrome grille. The headlamps are shaped like a comma which makes it look really distinctive. With the full LED lighting theme with LED projectors and daytime running lights, it looks quite stunning. The silver skid plates positioned below the large front bumper give the front a rugged stance, whereas the high mounted fog lamps with chrome accents add a nice premium touch
The overall side profile might not look as space-age and busy as the front one, but it still manages to look proportionate with its high shoulder line and two sharp character lines at right places. The large 5-spoke machined alloy wheels look gorgeous as well.
At the rear, the 5008 looks even more futuristic, thanks to the piano black finish between the large rectangular full LED tail lamps. The rest of the rear looks quite conventional with limited drama.
The Peugeot 5008 has been underpinned with Pseudo MacPherson axle at the front and twist-beam axle with hydraulic and pressurized shock absorbers at the rear. The overall suspension setting feels quite plush, but courtesy the advanced grip control system, is quite a performer on the rougher surfaces as well. It is well equipped with four different driving modes – normal, snow, mud, sand, and ESP off for tackling all kind of surfaces with suppleness.
Peugeot has made the 5008 available in only variant with one petrol engine option. The power-plant here is a 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol engine, which churns out 166 PS of maximum power and 240 Nm of peak torque output. All this power is channeled to the front wheels through a 6-speed torque converter.
The Peugeot 5008 is quite heavily loaded with appropriate safety features that a vehicle of this class should possess, such as front, side and curtain airbags, ABS with EBD and Brake Assist, Electronic Stability Program, front and rear parking sensors, 360 degree rear view camera, advanced grip control with five different modes, cruise control with speed limiter and blind spot information system.
One can’t ignore how premium and futuristic the Peugeot 5008 is. The overall exterior, as well as the interior design, has been executed with high levels of creativity, which again is high on sophistication and futuristic appeal as well. Also, it tries to justify its premium appeal with a long list of comfort and safety features. All in all, the Peugeot 5008 tries to sweep you off your feet with the way it feels at standstill as well as in motion.
Peugeot 5008 is indeed a beautiful looking vehicle and I am completely satisfied with my purchase. It has everything I wanted in an SUV such as premium interiors, good build quality, spacious cabin, and safety features. The engine is very responsive and cruising at triple-digit speeds does not stress the engine. Talking about the braking performance, I would say the
I already have a sedan for my regular use and I was looking for a vehicle specially for going on a road trip with my family. We are a family of five and for the exact same reason I wanted a big and durable vehicle which would offer power, comfort as well as safety and it was then I came
