2026 MINI Aceman EV launched in Malaysia - 406 km range, starts from RM 213,888

KUALA LUMPUR: MINI has pulled the wraps off the all-new Aceman EV in the Malaysian market. Positioned between the MINI Cooper and MINI Countryman, the MINI Aceman is a compact five-door crossover that appeals to urban drivers with its youthful design, immersive digital ecosystem and the brand’s signature go-kart handling.

Exterior 

The new MINI Aceman boasts the automaker’s latest “Charismatic Simplicity” design language with compact crossover proportions, an octagonal front grille and expressive LED lighting. Adding to its sporty crossover character are details like 19-inch Hexagram spoke wheels, robust wheel arches, roof rails and a stylised skid plate. 

At the rear, there are horizontal surfaces and upright LED tail lights in three selectable signature designs, providing a clean and recognisable finish that remains true to MINI’s design DNA.

Mini Malaysia offers the new Aceman EV in six exterior colours - Rebel Red, Indigo Sunset Blue, Melting Silver, Ocean Wave Green, Nanuq White and Legend Grey.

Interior and safety

Described as a carefully designed living space, the cabin features a 3D-knit dashboard, vegan leather trims and a round 9.4-inch OLED central display serving as the all-in-one hub for infotainment and key driving information. 

It is powered by the MINI Operating System 9, which delivers a clean, smartphone-like interface and supports seven MINI Experience Modes and seamless MINI App integration, allowing drivers to monitor vehicle status, manage charging, lock or unlock the vehicle, or locate it on a map remotely.

Other key interior features include - Digital Key, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, MINI Intelligent Personal Assistant, MINI Connected Package, a 360-degree camera system, and more.

As for safety, customers get a comprehensive suite of advanced driver-assistance systems, including adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, lane change warning, rear cross-traffic alert, traffic sign recognition, automated parking assistance, and more.

Drivetrain, range and charging 

The MINI Aceman is powered by a front-wheel drive motor setup generating a maximum power of 218 hp and a peak torque of 330 Nm. It enables the EV to run from zero to 100 kmph in 7.1 seconds. 

The vehicle delivers a responsive and engaging drive thanks to its low centre of gravity, finely tuned chassis and precise steering. The GO-KART Mode sharpens accelerator response for an even more spirited feel, while the intelligent traction system enhances grip across varying road surfaces.

Feeding the e-motor is a 54.2 kWh battery pack, which offers a WLTP range of up to 406 kilometres. The battery supports up to 11 kW AC and up to 95 kW DC charging; the latter can replenish 10% to 80% battery in 31 minutes only.
