About Honda Malaysia

Boon Siew Sdn Bhd operations began in 2008, and it is a joint venture between Oriental Holdings Bhd and Honda Motor Co. The company was born with the dual aim of consolidating motorcycle sales and production in the country and achieving higher customer satisfaction and efficiency. Before the formation of the new company, Boon Siew Sdn. Bhd. was responsible for the wholesale and manufacturing of Honda vehicles in the country.
It all began in 1958 with two great men - Tan Sri Dato’ Loo Boon Siew and Mr. Soichiro Honda. Back then, they had separate dreams, while Tan Sri Dato’ Loh Boon Siew wanted to and revolutionise country’s motoring industry; his pal Mr. Honda wanted to create efficient and motorised transportation for the masses. With time, their dreams united into one unifying vision of proving Malaysia with a more meaningful life via personal mobility. Fulfilling their dream is Boon Siew Honda that is built to enhance mobility and benefit society.
The brand has existed for over 60 years in Malaysia, and it is still going strong with many popular models in its lineup, including the EX5 that gained the legendary status. It has been in the market for over 30 years and remains an icon in the country.
The long-standing Japanese motorcycle brand in Malaysia has several best-sellers in key segments, these include the X-ADV, Wave Alpha 2020, Dash 125, RS150R, African Twin, and CBR1000RR.
In March 2020, Honda Malaysia introduced the 2020 GL1800 Gold Wing which is the perfect tourer on which one can get his hands. It is loaded with excellent features like a seven-inch TFT LCD screen that supports NAVI support and Apple CarPlay. In February 2020, the company upgraded the EX5 moped. It gets new graphics, alloy-spoked wheels options, and two additional color tones, Pearl Nightfall Blue and Pearl Magellanic.
In December 2019, Boon Siew Sdn Bhd came up with CBR1000RR’s replacement, called the CBR1000RR-R. It features a new and stiffer frame that is meant to enhance the torque resistance that leads to better aerodynamics and grip. Before that, the Japanese automaker launched the 2020 Wave Alpha in two variants - cast wheel and spoked wheels. It gets a brand new front cover design rubber wrapped rear handle, and much more to make the ride smooth.
Honda Malaysia has always modified its lineup according to the changing time and taste. New and upgraded models frequent introduction has always kept Honda’s lineup in top-notch condition.
