The much anticipated Mazda CX-3 is soon to launch officially in Malaysia on December 8 this year, being an ultimate compact crossover SUV. Mazda CX-3 can be considered as an ideal drive for both drivings around town and the great outdoor escapades. The recent market trends suggest that SUV-ification of the automobile market is on the high rise and buyers are keener to own a higher seated car proffering a sense of driving an SUV. CX3 is inspired by the stylish sibling Mazda 2 supermini and looks anything but ordinary.

The all-new Mazda CX-3 is inspired by an animal leaping into action, it features a unique ‘KODO – Soul of Motion’ design which provides sleek taut lines on the sides with a powerful sense of energy that brings the CX-3 to life. The car is high seated, owing to its 16-inch custom designed alloys with rear combi LED lights running over the boot lid portraying a wide rear stance. Besides that its aggressive pointed headlights and the brand's unique grille design offers a flair in a Compact SUV guaranteed to turn heads.

Apart from it the CX-3 comes with i-ACTIVSENSE safety technologies on GSX and Limited models, which provide heightened confidence in a wide range of driving conditions. SKYACTIV Technology's features an ultra-high-tensile steel, which makes the CX-3 ultra-strong to protect during a collision, yet ultra-light weight providing extreme agility to avoid an accident.

4. Next-gen car features the next-gen technology inside

Looking at the clever design of all new CX-3 ensures that the car should be featuring a wide era of the latest technology on the inside. The Japanese automaker has been highly meticulous over the ergonomics of CX-3 so that the major key functions can be accessed easily through a large eye-level central screen. MZD infotainment system is smartly integrated with crisp graphics proffering all the basic details about the car with a navigation system, along with infotainment technologies such as text-message reading and Pandora Internet Radio. The music system can be controlled using steering wheel switches or central console commander control and can also be controlled by voice.

5. Intelligent engine beneath the bonnet

The current trend suggests downsized engines with turbocharging, however, Mazda prefers an alternative choice of loading a 2.0-litre petrol engines producing 146 hp at 6000 rpm. This mediocre engine performs greatly on a fuel efficiency of 12 Kmpl with a considerable acceleration of 0 to 100Km/h in 8.1 seconds marking a top speed of 190 Km/h. As well as well the CX-3 comes with a standard six-speed automatic gearbox with the manual gear shift and the car also comes with an on-demand four-wheel drive system.

CX-3's light and accurate steering work well with a suspension making it a surprisingly enjoyable drive beyond most of its rivals like Renault Captur and Honda HR-V.
