Top 10 Cars With Small Engines Yet Upscaled Horsepowers

A car that simply moves around at a modest pace and serves its basic purpose may not impress anyone. Nowadays, car lovers just can't get enough of high-performance cars. Automotive designers stand a chance to satisfy the transportation needs of high-end buyers by seducing them with high power outputs. 1.Mitsubishi Lancer Evo: 145 hp/litre

This high-performance sports sedan manufactured by Mitsubishi Motors is based on the normal Lancer. Currently running in the tenth generation, this car is powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged engine which churns out a maximum power of 291 hp.

2.Audi S3/Audi TTS/Volkswagen Golf R: 146 hp/litre

Whether it is Audi S3, Audi TTS or Volkswagen Golf R, all three of them are powerful enough to deliver 146 horsepower per litre. Being integrated with a 2.0-litre engine, it churns out a maximum output of 292 hp.

3.Porsche 911 Turbo S: 147.5 hp/litre

The Porsche 911 Turbo S was announced by Porsche for production in 2010 with a specific output of 147.5 horsepower per litre. With its 3.8-litre engine, it generates an impressive output of 560 hp.

4.Volvo S60/XC60: 151 hp/litre

One being a sedan and other being a crossover, both of them have got the same power figure of 151 horsepower per litre. The duo shares a 2.0-litre engine which churns out a maximum power of 302 hp.

This luxury crossover SUV is being manufactured since 2002 and is currently running in its second generation. It's turbocharged and supercharged 2.0-litre engine produces a maximum power of 316 hp with a specific output of 158 horsepower per litre.

The AMG engineers have definitely put some time in designing this monster. Their hard work paid off with an output figure of insane 177.5 horsepower per litre. As a result, its 2.0-litre engine churns out a maximum power of 355 hp.
