10th Anniversary of Perodua Myvi sets Malaysian record!!

Kuala Lumpur: Myvi here, Myvi there, Myvi everywhere. These were the scenes from Setia Alam at the weekend, where Myvi Nation, the Biggest Myvi Gathering in history took place. This huge event, so as to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Malaysia's most popular car, in total saw 2613 Perodua owners making their way into Malaysian Book of Records for pretty much the biggest car gathering in the history of Malaysia.

This huge event produced a 10th Anniversary Commemorative Edition Perodua Myvi for one lucky enterant named Syed Mohamad Izzuddin Syed Ahmad Termizi from Perak as a gift. This is one of the only 11 units produced of the car. The other 10 units produced will be put up for sale to the public to use. This huge gathering brought in 5000 Perodua Myvi owners with their families and drivers. Every owner was gifted with a pack worth RM 400 and took part in games, hot air ballon rides, contests, firework displays and an outdoor movie show amongst all the other things. Besides sporting 10th Anniversary Commemorative Edition for Myvi, P2 also unveiled the GearUp accessories range for Perodua Myvi at this event.

Making a launch in 2005, Perodua Myvi is now a huge success for the indegenous manufacturer. It has produced nearly 850,000 units of the hatch at end April 2015 and the target is now to get past the milestone of 1 million units by end-2017. Perodua has claimed that every two of 10 cars produced in Malaysia is a Myvi, and if we go according to the statistics, we wouldn't really disagree with them.
