2019 Fiat 500X teased ahead of year-end launch

KUALA LUMPUR: The Fiat 500X has been around since 2014 and work on the much needed update is underway. News sources have spotted the test-mules for the revised model undergoing rigorous tests. Below is the teaser image showing us a glimpse of the new and upcoming 2019 Fiat 500X.

In this picture above, we can see that changes have been made to the headlamp, auxiliary lamp and fog lamp fixtures. Like the other cars in 500 family, the 500X will also be equipped with the new LED signature headlights with Full-LED technology. While the grille and much of the remaining structure is relatively left unchanged. The nose of the redesigned 500X will also feature a new, more pronounced front bumper at the bottom.

As we can see in these spy shots, the revised 500X’s rear end of will get humble updates. As seen on the recent Fiat 500, you may also see the redesigned tail lights receiving color-coded inserts on this all new Fiat 500X too. Gauging from the camouflage masking on the rear, redesigned elements can be expected on the rear bumper as well.

Including the list of minor changes seen earlier this year, the 2019 Fiat 500X will also receive interior updates as well. As it often happens, the aesthetic interior update is accompanied by the digital one too. This includes a more modern infotainment system with a large 8.4-inch touch screen that is inherited from the new Jeep Renegade. Apart from that, you will also find a new steering wheel which similar to the one seen in the last 500L.

Powering the Fiat 500X will be featured by a range of petrol and diesel engines. This will include the 1.0-litre, three-cylinder FireFly petrol turbo engine with 120 hp. While the diesel range of engines will include the 1.3-litre MultiJet II with 95 hp, the 1.6-litre MultiJet II with 120 hp and the 2.0-litre MultiJet II with 140 hp.

The 2019 Fiat 500X is all set to debut in the Northern Hemisphere by this autumn. But, as Fiat Chrysler Automobiles has declared that it will not be participating in the Paris Motor Show this year, it is expected that the launch of the all-new Fiat 500X, will be an exclusive one.
