2020 Geely Haoyue premiered, check details, specs and other info

KUALA LUMPUR: The coronavirus pandemic is under control in China, and so the auto industry there has resumed operations and is working hard to return to normal. Geely is one such carmaker that has not only resumed production but has also premiered a new model, the all-new 2020 Haoyue. Tagged by the company as their’ big, big, big, and spacious’ SUV, it will be available in either 7-seat or 5-seat configurations.

Coming to the car’s design language, we must say Geely has stepped up its game. The 2020 Haoyue showcases the brand’s new design direction with elements like expanding cosmos grille, rectangular LED headlights with inverted L-shaped DRLs. The headlights are ADB matrix LED units that automatically adjust depending on the steering wheel angle. Also, it levels depending on the car’s height. The foglamps benefit from a unique longitudinal arrangement, which gives a sense of presence. On the sides, the character lines are well defined, and the fenders and quarter panels get muscular overtones, all thanks to the chiseled wheel arches.

The new Haoyue measures 4835 mm in length, 1,900 mm in width, and 1,780 mm in height. The wheelbase and ground clearance figures read 2,185 mm and 190 mm, respectively. Thus, making it the largest SUV in Geely’s fleet.

On opening the doors, you’ll be greeted with a clean, symmetrical cockpit with details like an infinity motif on the air-con vents. The touchscreen placed on the centre stack like a tablet highlights the connected nature of the car.
