The 4th-gen model sits in the Volkswagen Group MQB A0 platform. It is the same base that supports the Skoda Scala. Despite its compact dimensions, the MQB A0 assures a roomier cabin. Also, the manufacturer promises a sportier and safer car.

The upcoming Fabia dimensions chart reads - 4,107 mm in length, 1,780 mm in width, and 1,460 mm in height. The wheelbase measures 2,564 mm and the track widths at both ends are 1,525 mm and 1,509 mm. The boot capacity stands at 380-litres and it increases to 1,190-litres with rear seats folded.

The new Fabia benefits from a revised exterior design that now includes elements like LED lighting units all around. The side features wheels with aero-optimized plastic inserts.

Furthermore, the automaker claims the Fabia offers the lowest drag coefficient in the segment with the Cd value down from 0.32 to 0.28. The front bumper features active shutters that reduce drag when less cooling is needed, this improves fuel consumption as well.

Also, the front bumper comes with air curtains that guide the air along the sides of the vehicle. The wing mirror housing is designed to reduce the drag and direct a targeted airflow at the back. Similarly at the rear, the side finlets and spoiler manage the airflow.

At the bottom, twelve panels cover a large section of the car's underbody. These panels cover some crucial areas like the axles and engine bay.
