Chevrolet Cruze and Spin Displayed at Delhi Auto Expo 2016

Kuala Lumpur: Chevrolet has showcased multiple products at their booth in the Delhi Auto Expo, two of them being specifically important from the Malaysian point of view – the Chevrolet Spin, and the updated Chevrolet Cruze. With the Delhi Auto Expo 2016 currently underway at the Indian Expo Mart in the capital city of India, various manufacturers have showcased their enticing lineup to enhance their presence and footprint in the Indian automotive market, which is being touted as a market with increasing potential for new products.

The Chevrolet Cruze showcased at the auto expo has been given a few cosmetic as well as feature-related updates, in order to spruce up the overall deal. Changes on the outside include a new twin-slat front grille, which houses the Chevrolet insignia while the redesigned front bumper has been given a strip of LED Daytime Running Lamps. The side profile remains identical to the outgoing model and so does the engine options. In the interior department, the design, materials used, and color schemes have not been altered, and the only important change is the 7-inch MyLink Infotainment system, which is a straight lift from the Chevrolet Trailblazer. All these features are already a part of the Cruze that is offered by Chevrolet Malaysia, after the facelift was launched last year.

Another important product from Chevrolet's booth is the Spin MPV, which is expected to be launched in Malaysia in the near future. The Spin has been given a widely-appealing design, with swept back headlamps, minimal contours and characteristic twin-slat front grille. The side and rear too get blend profile, making it apparent that designers were given a brief to keep diverse appeal a priority. In India, the Chevrolet Spin is likely to be powered by a 1.3-litre diesel, sourced from Fiat, which exhales 90 PS and a peak torque of 200 Nm.

Chevrolet Spin might be the next car that can hit the Malaysian shore and Chevrolet Cruze with upgraded features might continue to rule the segment in both the countries in an effective manner.
