Chevrolet Malaysia Rolls Out Colorado Sport and Cruze Sport With Cash Rebates and Other Contests

Kuala Lumpur: The Chevrolet Colorado Sport and Cruze Sport were recently launched in Malaysia by NAZA Quest Sdn Bhd who are the official distributor of Chevrolet cars in Malaysia. Now the automaker has announced that both the models are open for further bookings.

Talking about Colorado Sport, it boasts of a rugged and aerodynamic body which is further accentuated by a stylish front bumper guard, side fender, door visor, rear roll bar, and 18-inch alloy wheels. Further, the illumination is provided by projector headlamps and LED taillights. Inside, it gets premium semi-bucket leather seats, leather door trims and a multifunction steering wheel. Comfort features include auto climate control and 6-way power adjustable driver seat. Moreover, it is also assisted with Chevrolet Mylink. Under the hood, it is powered by a 2.8L four-cylinder DOHC Duramax diesel engine that delivers 200 PS at 3600 rpm along with a best in class 500 Nm of torque at 2000 rpm. This engine is further mated to a 6-speed auto transmission with shifter knob. The automaker has also provided superior handling with fully adjustable suspension. The sports suspension improves ride comfort and on-road handling while the lowered height gives it an aggressive look. The safety features include Electric Stability Program (ESP), anti-lock braking system, Hill Descent Control System (HDCS), Hill Start Assist (HAS), Electronic Brake-Force Distribution (EBD), Cornering Brake Control (CBC), Hydraulic Brake Assist (HBA) and Panic Brake Assist (PBA). Most importantly, Chevrolet Colorado Sport has also been awarded the 5 star ASEAN NCAP safety rating. In Malaysia, it is rolled out with a price tag of RM138,967 on-the-road, inclusive of insurance and road tax. This price also includes a warranty package of 3 years or 100,000km (whichever comes first).

The Chevrolet Cruze Sport boasts of an aerodynamic body along with a sleek design. The car has also got a new front fascia and alloy light weight wheels. Inside it gets premium leather seats, LED door sill plate and added footrest. Further, it comes with a multi-information display with personalised setting – conveniently displayed contacts, music, provides connectivity for Bluetooth and USB applications. Under the bonnet, it is powered by the 1.8L Ecotec DCVCP engine which delivers a maximum power of 140 PS along with a peak torque of 167 Nm with improved fuel optimization.The new Cruze offers better performance via throttle alignment for quicker and more responsive throttle response and improved air filter with stainless steel air filter. Its safety features include Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD) and Triple ISOFIX points. It is also designed with an enhanced body frame structure which reduces the risk of injuries from the collision. It is priced at RM122,868 on-the-road, inclusive of insurance and road tax. This price also includes a warranty package of 5 years or 200,000km (whichever comes first).

Both of these cars will be showcased at the upcoming One Utama Auto Fair, Highstreet Zone from 2 to 6 December 2015. As an added incentive, Chevrolet is offering cash rebates worth RM12,500 for Cruze Sport and RM6,000 for Colorado Sport. These rebates will be available still stocks last. Moreover, as Chevrolet is the official sponsor of Manchester United, it would be providing a chance to participate in the ‘Manchester United For Live’ contest to all the customers who register any model till December 10, 2015. The Grand Prize for this contest is a 2 VIP Hospitality match tickets to watch the Manchester United vs. Chelsea game at Old Trafford on December 28, 2015. This package also includes 2 air flight tickets and 5 days/4 nights hotel accommodation.
