For Number Plate Offences, Over RM800k are Collected in Terms of Fines

KUALA LUMPUR: According to the report of The Sun, on the Grand Saga Highway, the police has originated Ops Samseng Jalan Raya over the weekend, which is not less than 12 instructions in first two days of operations.

According to ASP Azmi who is the chief of the KL Traffic Special Enforcement, that some fines were handed around traffic violations like road tax and lost driver's licences, number plates also which is not fulfilling the specific requirements.

Additionaly, four vehicles are seized by authorities and has been focused on difficulty in apprehending the motorcyclists during the operation. Overall, the exercise included 47 traffic personnel from Selangor, Kajang and Kuala Lumpur.

An operation has begun last year for the usage of non-regulation number plates, now a total of RM810,300 has been gathered from fines according to the report. The operation has viewed 12,161 traffic rush which have been issued out as staement given by Bernama.
