Without a surprise, the SUV segment is leading the sales charts. Out of the 1.5 million cars Geely Auto sold, 857,922 units were SUVs only. These SUVs count for 57% of the totals sales. Now you know why automakers are focusing more and more on SUVs. Among the SUVs traded by the Chinese manufacturer, the top-selling car was the Boyue, of which Geely sold as many as 255,695 units. As a matter of fact, the Geely Boyue is the very SUV which has been used as a foundation for the Proton X70. Thus, the X70 already has the ingredients of a successful SUV, doesn’t it? It can further be known by the fact that more than 650,000 units of the Boyue SUV have been sold till date.

Geely claims that the reason behind the success has been the importance given to the market demand as well as customer experience. All the processes, starting from the development of a vehicle to the purchase of a car and then the after-sales service was taken care of. The Chinese carmaker is also very cheerful about the fact that around 51% of the customers it gained were born either in or after the 1990s.
