Represented here by Sime Darby Auto Performance, Porsche says the latest update for the CKD Cayenne is aimed specifically at the Malaysian market, with several extra items now fitted as standard.

One of the more obvious changes is the fitment of 21-inch RS Spyder wheels as standard. Previously optional, the larger wheels now come with the Cayenne as part of the base package here, giving the SUV a more planted and more purposeful look on the road.

The rest of the exterior remains familiar, with the Cayenne continuing to carry its sculpted bonnet, wide front-end treatment and Matrix LED headlights.

Porsche Malaysia has also added a new exterior colour to the local line-up, Arctic Grey, which will be available from July. The shade first appeared on the 718 Cayman GT4 RS and has since been offered on the 911, and it now joins the Cayenne range here as another option for buyers who want something a little less conventional.

Other body colours available for the locally-assembled Cayenne include Carrara White Metallic, Chromite Black Metallic and Quarzite Grey Metallic.

Inside, the big update is on the digital side. The 2026 Cayenne now gets extended Porsche Connect services, with up to 10 years of connectivity included. That covers functions such as navigation, real-time information and selected vehicle services, while the Porsche app also allows access to certain remote functions when away from the vehicle.

As standard, the equipment list for Malaysia now includes Adaptive Cruise Control, the Sport Chrono Package, a BOSE Surround System and soft-close doors.

Power still comes from a 3.0-litre turbocharged V6 producing 353 PS and 500 Nm of torque. Porsche Active Suspension Management, or PASM, also remains standard, which should help the Cayenne continue to balance ride comfort with the kind of body control expected from something wearing a Porsche badge.

The cabin layout continues with Porsche Driver Experience, which places the main controls closer to the driver. There is also a 12.6-inch fully digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch Porsche Communication Management display.

Practicality remains one of the Cayenne’s stronger selling points. Boot space is rated at up to 772 litres, expanding to 1,708 litres with the 40:20:40 rear seats folded.

For those wanting something quicker and more electrified, Porsche is also offering the Cayenne S E-Hybrid Coupé. This variant gets the more coupe-like roofline and now also comes with 21-inch RS Spyder wheels.

Its plug-in hybrid powertrain combines a V6 engine with a 130 kW electric motor, for a total system output of 519 PS. Porsche positions it as the more performance-focused and higher-end alternative within the updated Cayenne line-up.

There is also an Exclusive Manufaktur Package for buyers who want a more distinctive look. This adds items such as tinted LED taillights with light strip, exterior-coloured mirrors, the Sport Design Package, high-gloss black c-blades, LED door courtesy lights with Porsche branding, an embossed centre console armrest and a colour-matched key.

Commenting on the update, Porsche Malaysia said the Cayenne continues to be positioned as a high-performance SUV that still has enough practicality for daily use.

The 2026 Porsche Cayenne and Cayenne S E-Hybrid Coupé are now available to order in Malaysia.
