Geely Boyue X launched in China: What's in stock

KUALA LUMPUR: Geely has launched the latest iteration of its popular SUV, the Boyue X in the Chinese market. The new model benefits from several visual and technological improvements, thus stepping with a strong foot in the SUV world.

Without any delay, let's start dig-in into Geely Boyue X's details, starting with its under the hood configuration.

Geely Boyue X engine

Powering Geely's latest SUV is the brand's award-winning 1.8-litre four-cylinder direct-injection turbocharged petrol mill that pumps out a maximum power of 184 PS along with a peak torque of 300 Nm. The engine is paired to an ultra-efficient 7-speed wet DCT gearbox.

This time-tested dynamic unit allows the Boyue X to achieve a mileage rating of 12.97 kmpl.

Geely Boyue X design language

The Boyue X features the brand's latest design expression, 'Vision Starburst'. It is the first Geely SUV to adopt the avant-garde design that was first seen on the Vision Concept.

At the front, it gets sharp air intakes, a Crystal Eye LED headlight, and an X-shaped 'Starbust' grille. Together they give the SUV a dynamic and youthful appearance.

The side profile gets a silver highlight shaped like a taut bow that helps the SUV achieve a streamlined visual aesthetic. The 19-inch Continental tyres with a five-spoke blacked-out rim are in perfect contrast with orange highlights front across the vehicle's air intake, brakes, and underskirt.

The Boyue X cabin offers a highly customizable premium interior experience. The car comes with programmable interior lighting and a superb sound system. The list includes -

• 12-speaker Bose sound system with microphone support for karaoke
• 72-colour ambient lighting system

Geely Boyue X advanced tech

Boyue is the smartest SUV in its segment and continuing the tradition Geely has given comprehensive upgrades to Boyue X's 'brain'. The cockpit hosts the brand's new Milky Way OS that utilises a new-gen E02 high-performance infotainment panel CPU chip.

Also, the Boyue X is the first production-spec car to come equipped with Baidu's independently developed Honghu automotive-grade intelligent voice AI chip and platform.

The SUV's suite of advanced driving technologies is empowered by Mobileye 4th generation EyeQ4 chip. With the new, enhanced 'brain', the Boyue X intelligent cockpit offers an industry-leading HMI experience.

Not to forget, Geely teamed up with Tencent, Baidu, Huawei, and other technology ecological partners to improve its cockpit system's external APP performance, and compatibility.
