Honda HR-V Sold Out
KUALA LUMPUR: There is no bigger impact has been created by any car, in comparison to the Honda HR-V. It has been launched in February, and has collected an amazing of 18,027 bookings in June.
Overall 18k names on Honda Malaysia's booking are there and the company will be glad to observe that 64% are for the RM118,229 top-spec(11,481 units), proceeded by 19%(3,449 units) for the RM10,027 mid-spec E and 17%(3,097 units) for the RM98,690 base S. Prices are accordingly with GST and insurance.
From the backlog of orders of the car, Honda Malaysia has targeted to clear 7,374 units, while depending on variant and colour the current waiting list for an HR-V is about four to five months. It can be extended upto six months at a particular point, although the target of HM to complete it is by one to one and a half month by the end of the year.
The users who follow the Malaysian car industry know very well that the HR-V was not the first to achieve their shores. Also, a small B-segment SUV trail has been opened by Peugeot and Ford. A bulldozer was brought by Honda to the party.
The company is well equipped with a powerful brand and it is not considering the 2008 and EcoSport as its batchmates. Apart from all these, it has targeted the smaler C-segment SUVs such as Hyundai Tucson, Mazda CX-5 and Kia Sportage.
