Kia Cadenza 2016 Official Images Revealed

Kuala Lumpur: Kia recently revealed two design sketches of its second generation Cadenza sedan also known as Kia K7 in its home market. The rendered images are basically for the Korean market, so here you can expect some slight changes in the look. The Korean automaker has plans of launching this car in 2016.

Kia Cadenza 2016 sits just one segment above the Kia Optima K5 but below K900 sedan. This updated model "maintains the progressive, contemporary image of the current model" with "sharper, more defined lines and wider, lower stance" compared to the existing version. Towards the front fascia, it features the brand's signature tiger nose grille with inward curves. The LED headlamps are underlined by a chrome strip which further extends to its grille. Moving towards the side profile, it features muscular fenders, long bonnet and a sloping roofline. At the rear end, one can find squared-off bumpers, wide LED taillamps and dual exhaust tips. Further, it is anchored to 19-inch multispoke alloy wheels surrounded by tires measuring 245/40 R19.

At the rear end of Kia Cadenza 2016, one can find a “3.3” badge which hints towards a possibility of 3.3-litre V6 GDI engine churning out a maximum output of 293 hp along with 305 Nm of torque. But if rumours are to be believed, it would possibly be carrying the new 3.3-litre twin turbo V6 engine. The latter is the same engine that has been fitted to Genesis G90. Nothing much has been revealed about its interior yet, but the Korean automaker claims that it will feature “high levels of interior quality and contemporary luxury.”
