Kia Malaysia gets a familiar heavyweight as Cycle & Carriage joins dealer network

KUALA LUMPUR: Kia Sales Malaysia has appointed Cycle & Carriage as its latest authorised dealer partner, as the Korean brand continues to expand its sales and aftersales network in Malaysia.

The move adds a familiar name to Kia’s local dealer network. Cycle & Carriage has been in the automotive business for more than 125 years and is already well known in Malaysia through its long-running presence in the premium vehicle space.

For Kia Malaysia, the appointment is part of a wider push to improve its retail coverage, customer support and ownership experience across the country.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Kia Sales Malaysia Chief Executive Officer Hyung Ho Kim said, “The appointment of Cycle & Carriage, a renowned automotive brand in Malaysia with a legacy spanning over 125 years, reflects Kia’s commitment to strengthening our retail footprint and elevating the customer experience nationwide, while positioning the brand more competitively within Malaysia’s dynamic automotive landscape.”

Cycle & Carriage Malaysia Chief Executive Officer Adrian Short said the addition of Kia gives the company another major brand to work with in Malaysia.

We are proud to welcome the brand and look forward to leveraging Cycle & Carriage’s automotive expertise and customer-focused sales, aftersales and service excellence to expand the brand’s market reach and deliver exceptional ownership journeys to customers in Malaysia.”

The partnership should give Kia customers more access to sales touchpoints, servicing and aftersales support, although Kia Sales Malaysia has not yet announced specific showroom locations under Cycle & Carriage in this statement.

The appointment also comes at a time when Kia is trying to build a stronger position in Malaysia’s competitive car market, where buyers are increasingly looking not just at product, but also showroom accessibility, service quality, warranty support and long-term ownership confidence.
