Mazda EZ-60 makes global debut at 2025 Shanghai Auto Show

KUALA LUMPUR: The all-new Mazda EZ-60 has made its official world debut at the ongoing 2025 Shanghai Auto Show in China. Developed in collaboration with Changan Mazda, the EZ-60 is an electric crossover SUV inspired by the Arata concept showcased last year.

Dimensions
The new Mazda SUV is 4,850 mm long, 1,935 mm wide, and 1,620 mm tall, and has a 2,902 mm long wheelbase. The boot space is measured at 350 litres, expandable up to 2,036 litres with the rear seats folded flat. Adding to storage is a 126-litre front trunk that can be used for storing charging cables.
Exterior
Based on the "FUTURE + SOUL x MODERN" design theme, the EZ-60 boasts elegant styling combined with modern elements. It has a sleek and aerodynamic profile with air passageways at the tip of the hood, creating a futuristic impression and improving power consumption efficiency at high speeds.

With a 50:50 front/rear weight distribution, the new Mazda SUV is equipped with strut suspension at the front and multi-link suspension at the rear, along with electronically controlled dampers. The startup can adapt to various situations, providing “Jinba-Ittai driving – a sense of horse and rider as one.”
Interior

The minimalist interior is packed with smart features that enhance safety and convenience. The most notable one is a massive 26.45-inch 5K integrated flat-panel central display that offers all essential vehicle information, entertainment, and climate control functions. It is paired with a virtual 3D heads-up display that prominently displays information directly in front of the driver, supporting safety and security while adding a futuristic touch.
Among the other key inclusions are -
- 23-speaker 7.1.4-channel Dolby Atmos audio system with headrest speakers
- Nine airbags
- L2-level ADAS pack supported by 5 mm wave radars, 5 HD cameras, and 12 ultrasonic sensors
