Proton becomes Official Vehicle brand of 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games

KUALA LUMPUR: Geely Auto Group is an Official Prestige Partner for the upcoming 19th Asian Games set to take place in Hangzhou, China from September 10 to 25, 2022. And as the local automaker Proton comes under the umbrella of the Chinese automotive group, it has been named one of the Official Vehicle brands of the event. 

All the Proton models, including X50, Persona, Iriz, Saga, X70, and Exora will hold the tag of Official Vehicle of the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2022. According to Proton, the opportunity to support the largest multi-sports event in Asia will provide great recognition to the brand across the continent.

To support the games as well as national athletes, the company will float a campaign across the country to drive excitement among the enthusiasts and to highlight the role of sports in promoting fitness and nurturing unity. By this, it will make a strong connection with the public, and follow this year’s games slogan - "Heart to Heart, @Future”.

The campaigning will begin with the “PROTON Ignite Your Life contest” where you can win exciting prizes on the booking of any Proton car between February 1 to July 31, 2022. Included in the prizes are exclusive trips to Hangzhou to watch the Asian games live, and e-vouchers for buying sports material.
