Tesla opens Mid Valley Experience Centre, its seventh location in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: Tesla Malaysia has opened a new Experience Centre at Mid Valley Megamall, giving shoppers another place to view its cars, explore configurations and speak to the company about its electric vehicle range.

The outlet is Tesla’s seventh experience location in Malaysia. It occupies lots G-001 and G[E>-011, immediately beside the link connecting Mid Valley Megamall and The Gardens Mall.

The location also puts it close to Tesla’s existing charging facilities at The Gardens, where four V4 Superchargers serve owners visiting the shopping complex.

Model 3, Model Y and six-seater Model Y L

Tesla’s Malaysian range comprises the Model 3 sedan, Model Y SUV and six-seater Model Y L. Its experience locations let visitors take a closer look at the vehicles and get help with configuring a purchase.

According to Tesla, the Model 3 was Malaysia’s best-selling electric sedan and best-selling imported-brand EV in August 2026. The company also says the Model Y led the imported-brand electric SUV category that month.

Tesla highlighted its over-the-air software updates and Grok AI assistant as part of the ownership offering. It says the assistant can help with navigation, local recommendations, music and vehicle functions such as climate control.

Four V4 Superchargers at The Gardens Mall

The nearby Supercharging station is located at Floor B1, Zone B of The Gardens Mall. Its four V4 Superchargers offer charging speeds of up to 250 kW.

Tesla quotes up to approximately 311 km of added range in 15 minutes for the Model 3 and Model Y. That is an advertised maximum rather than a result owners should expect at every charging stop.

Across Malaysia, Tesla says it now operates 21 Supercharging stations with 92 Superchargers, alongside 18 Destination Charging locations with 78 chargers.

Another six charging stations are planned by the end of 2026, covering Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Perak, Seremban and Penang. The announcement does not identify the individual sites or specify the charger type at each upcoming location.

Tesla also says its regional network supports travel between Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand, with cross-border warranty coverage, service access and connectivity available to owners.

Tesla Malaysia prices and current offers

The Tesla Model 3 starts from RM149,000, while the Model Y starts from RM198,000.

For a limited period, buyers of either model can choose between a complimentary Wall Connector and 3,000 km of Supercharging credits. The two benefits cannot be combined, and terms and conditions apply.

Tesla is also advertising a choice of a RM13,000 trade-in rebate or financing with a fixed interest rate from 0.88%. These two offers cannot be combined either, with eligibility depending on the applicable vehicle configuration.

The Model 3, Model Y and Model Y L are included in Tesla’s Refer and Earn programme. Under the offer described in the announcement, the first 10 buyers who order a new Tesla through a referral link receive RM1,000 off. The referring owner receives RM500 in Tesla credits once the qualifying vehicle is delivered.

For shoppers considering a Tesla, the Mid Valley outlet provides another central location to see the cars and clarify the offers, particularly which incentives apply to their chosen model.
