Volkswagen Multivan PanAmericana Concept Revealed at Frankfurt
Kuala Lumpur: Volkswagen has finally pulled the wraps off its new concept version of the transporter van at 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show. This concept would be dubbed as Multivan PanAmericana and was led by specialists from Volkswagen's Commercial Vehicles division. Creators of this concept have visualised the idea of easily transporting the owner's motorcycle with an electrically assisted loading and unloading tailgate. This concept combines the convenience of a Multivan with off-road capabilities of an SUV. In a nutshell, it serves as an impressive vehicle to load the cargo of any type or size.

Under the hood, it is powered by a 2.0-litre TDI engine which is capable of churning out a maximum power of 201 hp and 450 Nm of torque at 1400-2000 rpm. This power is channeled through the marque's signature seven-speed DSG dual-clutch transmission. Further, it comes loaded with the brand's 4MOTION all-wheel drive system.
Going by the exterior, it has been painted in Oryx White along with Flash Red and Black accents. A host of badges can also be found on the radiator grille, the tailgate and B-pillars. MultiVan PanAmericana is also getting the wheel arch mouldings, the front metal underbody guard, the flared side sills and the beefier multi-spoke alloy wheels.

Its rear compartment has been made strong enough to load your two-wheelers easily. It also features an electric road lamp and internal mounting hooks to secure the cargo. Further, the middle seats are wrapped in 'Clip' upholstery which is rugged getting the white and carbon strips. The carpeted floor has also been replaced by the aluminium diamond plate.
