The first two Zeekr EVs that will hit the Indonesian roads are - Zeekr 009 and Zeekr X.  Let’s know about these EVs in brief -

    Zeekr 009

Based on the large SEA1 platform, the Zeekr 009 is a large luxury MPV with a wheelbase of 3,205 mm, a length of 5,209 mm, a width of 2,024 mm, and a height of 1,848 mm.

Globally, the Zeekr 009 comes equipped with two electric motors tuned to produce a maximum power of 544 PS. The power is sent to all four wheels, enabling the EV to hit the century sprint in just 4.8 seconds. Two available battery packages are - 116 kWh and 140 kWh, offering a cruising range of 702 and 822 km, respectively.

In terms of styling, the electric MPV boasts a ‘Fountain of Light’ exterior design incorporating a huge illuminated grille, a prominent bonnet, and vertically-oriented LED DRLs. The cabin is kitted with premium materials and hi-tech appointments such as Nappa leather seats, multiple screens, one-touch control for rear amenities, a Yamaha sound system, etc.

    Zeekr X

The Zeekr X is a subcompact luxury crossover SUV, built on Geely's Scalable Electric Architecture, similar to the smart #1. It is 4,450 mm long, 1,836 mm wide, and 1,572 mm tall and spans a 2,750 mm long wheelbase.

Two drivetrain options are available for the electric SUV in the international market: single-motor RWD or dual-motor AWD. The motors are fed by a 66 kWh battery, letting the EV run for 560 km on a single charge.

The Zeekr X impresses with its sleek exterior design featuring a closed-off grille, advanced matrix headlamps, full-width tail light bar, and contrasting black roof. Key interior highlights include - a huge 24.3-inch AR head-up display, an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster, a 14.6-inch infotainment unit, and a Yamaha sound system with 13 speakers.

Speaking of Zeekr EVs' arrival in Malaysia, the brand is considering entering the local automotive arena with its newly developed right-hand drive EVs. As Geely holds a 49.9% stake in Proton, Zeekr EVs may be sold under Proton's subsidiary Pro-Net alongside smart EVs in Malaysia.
