Zeekr owners in Malaysia now get 25% off charging at 1,000 JomCharge points

KUALA LUMPUR: Zeekr Intelligent Technology Malaysia has tied up its Zeekr Power charging network with charge point operator JomCharge, and the result is a freebie for anyone who already owns one of its EVs.

Every Zeekr owner in Malaysia can now claim a complimentary JomCharge Platinum membership that runs until 31 December 2026.

Platinum is the top tier of JomCharge's subscription plans, and it knocks 25% off charging at more than 1,000 JomCharge-owned charge points around the country.

Normally you would pay RM39.90 a month for it. Zeekr says its local owner base has passed 5,000 cars, and this is the second charging perk it has handed that group in quick succession.

The first was the DC Handal arrangement, which locked Zeekr owners into a flat RM1.20 per kWh at any DC Handal station nationwide.

Between the two, a Zeekr owner in Malaysia now has preferential rates across two of the bigger networks here, which is a genuinely useful thing to have when you are picking a stop on the North-South Expressway rather than picking a car.

The discount applies to JomCharge-owned points, so roaming chargers that simply appear inside the JomCharge app are not automatically covered.

And the whole thing expires on 31 December 2026, which is roughly four months away as of now. Nothing has been said about what happens after that, so treat it as a perk with a clock on it rather than a permanent part of the ownership package.

This is announced under Zeekr Power, the brand's ultra-fast charging arm, but the saving itself is a percentage off JomCharge's general network, which spans everything from mall AC chargers to highway DC units. It is a subscription giveaway, not a hardware rollout.

How to activate it

Registration is manual, not automatic, so nothing lands in your app on its own. Owners need to fill in the form at https://forms.gle/8BBf8ogmzuSqW1X99, using the same email address tied to their JomCharge account. JomCharge then verifies the Zeekr ownership and switches on the Platinum benefits once that clears. Get the email wrong and the verification will not match up.

Charging perks have quietly become a battleground. Tesla has its own Supercharger membership rates, BYD bundles chargers and app tie-ups with the Sealion 7 and Atto 3, and Proton as well as iCAUR always have subscription giveaways of its own.

For a brand still building volume here, throwing in charging value is a cheaper way to sweeten a purchase than cutting the sticker price.

And the sticker prices are not small. The Zeekr X starts from around RM158,800, the 7X sits from roughly RM182,800 up to RM235,000 for the Black Nova, and the 009 MPV tops out near RM359,800.

Against that, a membership worth RM39.90 a month is a rounding error. It is still a sensible thing to claim if you already have the car, and it does chip away at the running cost of daily charging for Malaysian buyers who cannot always plug in at home.

Zeekr Malaysia says more owner initiatives are coming. Whether the JomCharge deal gets extended past 31 December 2026 is the part to watch.
