How to wash your car like a pro?

If you really care more about your car's cleanness quotient, then efforts are required to be taken at your end, rather than relying on the washing services. Moreover, maintaining the paint of your vehicle is more important than cleaning and waxing it. Cleaning your car like a professional needs dedication, time, and watchfulness. If someone carries these traits, he/she can clean their vehicle with the maximum professionalism.

Here are some simple and effective ways to make your car-cleaning task a five-figure exercise. Before getting started, you need to do some preliminary checks and know the expert ways of cleaning a car.

First, examine the condition of your car. This will direct you the right ways of cleaning the vehicle in question. If the car is new or it has a fine wax coat, there's no need to apply an extra protective layer. A simple wash is sufficient to maintain its shine.

Second, while washing a car, it is advisable to go through the instructions on the label about the cleaning compound safe for the outer surface. This is because the application of cleaning chemicals may vary between vehicle brands and vehicle types.

Ways to wash your car professionally -

1. Decide if washing/waxing is essential for your car

car washing tips

Washing your car is necessary when its exterior is accumulated with dirt, dust, and mud. The main purpose of cleaning is to eliminate these contaminants. Waxing is essential to give your car the required shine. If you feel your car needs washing, it is always safe and better to use a washing soap that is specially designed for vehicles.
Steps to wash your car -

  • First, soak your car to eliminate bigger pieces of mud, making sure they don't create scratches during the cleaning process.
  • Next, eliminate the dampness by wiping the body with the dirt free mitts and dry cloth.

2. Look for scratches on the surface of your car

car washing tips - use of clay

After washing your car and drying it, you can observe swirls, scratches, and oxidation on the car's exterior. You can feel for some bonded pollutants, such as tree sap or overspray, not eliminated during the washing. Try running your hand on the surface of the car, and if you feel some bumps, we suggest to use a quality clay bar to eradicate these obstinate bonded pollutants. The clay will erase everything from the surface of your car, including the residual wax, thus restoring softness to the car paint.

  • Start the surface preparation process by rubbing the surface gently. Hold a detailer in the palm of your hand and run it across your car surface.
  • You can use a car-cleaning compound to eliminate scratches and impression that are beneath the surface of your car. The mixture can be applied via hand or applicator pads or employ a double-action car polisher.
  • Once applied, wipe it away immediately. If you still find stains, apply the compound again, and rub it until the marks are eliminated from the surface of your car permanently.

3. Polish your car to get the extra lustre

Once you have eliminated all the stubborn stains from the surface of your car, now is the time to make it look glossy. You can use a double-action polisher or your hand to apply the polish. Apply conditioning oils to append the color depth and lustre before waxing the surface of the car.

4. Wax your car surface

The primary purpose of waxing is to protect the paint and shine of the car. It's just like using a sunscreen to protect the skin from harmful rays of the sun. Likewise, waxing will add a layer of safety to protect your car paint from the damaging ultraviolet rays of the sun. This means it will prevent the fading of your car's paint, besides preventing it from other contaminants on its surface.

5. Preserve the shine and safety of your car
