Honda released a tricolor livery for the CBR150R and CBR250RR

KUALA LUMPUR: Honda CBR150R and CBR250RR are the brand’s two sports motorbikes that feature an aggressive design, agile maneuvering, and have high performance in their respective segments. Recently, the automaker unveiled Honda racing-inspired tricolor livery for both models in Indonesia. The livery has red, blue, and white colors, and the graphics similar to the Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade.

For decades, the legendary tricolor combination has been representing the power of Honda's racing technology. It started with Honda's participation in the Isle of Man TT racing event in 1959 when the engine was dominated by red. Later in 1970, the racing shirts of Honda riders got a tricolor combination.

Honda CB750 was the company’s first motorcycle that used a combination of red, blue, and white at the 200 mile Daytona event happened In 1973 in the United States. After that, Honda motorbikes with iconic colors were increasingly found in racing and finally, the tricolor became a symbol of Honda's racing power. The automaker has applied the tricolor color scheme to a variety of high-performance Honda motorbikes around the world.

Coming back to the Honda CBR150R and the CBR250RR, apart from the beautiful new liveries, the automaker has not introduced any change this time. Both models feature similar styling with dual LED headlights, LED indicators, muscular fairings, split seats, and alloy wheels. However, the new tricolor livery added more sportiness to their previous sporty stances.

On the mechanical front, the CBR150R incorporates a 149-cc single-cylinder engine which generates 17.1 PS of maximum power and 14.4 Nm of peak torque. On contrary, the CBR250RR is powered by a 249-cc twin-cylinder mill kicking out 41 PS and 25 Nm. Despite the different engines, both motorcycles use the same six-speed gearbox mated to a slip-and-assist clutch.

Other common specifications include fully digital LCD instrument clusters and USD fork and monoshock setup. However, the bigger CBR250RR has a bigger display screen, three rider modes, a ride-by-wire system, and a quick-shifter.
