Football is the King of all sports around the world, being most popular it enjoys the aristocracy of hosting all the major brand associations and this means big business. Well, how can the Automotive players around the world can be left behind. Automotive sector and Football now has a firmly established conventional relationship which produces big bucks for both the mutual benefactors. Car brands crave the exposure of being associated with a major football club or a player or a competition and this involves big number's.

For an example, to get your name on Manchester United’s current shirt you have to shell out a whooping sum of tens of millions of pounds, while Arsenal’s logo beside yours will ask for a sum of nine figures. So whether you like the idea of football sponsorship or not, it’s now an integral part of the modern football. Thus here we have compiled a lowdown of major car brands associated with this sport.

Ford and Kia-Hyundai with UEFA Champions League

The American automotive giant, Ford has been one of the principal sponsors of the UEFA Champions League from the past twenty years.In 2011, Ford extended its contract with UEFA until June 2015, making it the longest-standing sponsorship with UEFA. By far Ford has provided an estimated 900 vehicles every season, such as the Ford Galaxy and Ford Transit, to help with transport logistics for UEFA Champions League games.

After the Ford's sponsorship ended in 2015, Kia-Hyundai in partnership took the opportunity to host UEFA European Football Championship (UEFA EURO), the largest football event in Europe. Kia Motors Corporation has been one of the prestige global EUROTOP Partners of UEFA (Union des Associations Europeennes de Football) since 2006 through to 2017. The agreement means that Hyundai-Kia will become the exclusive supplier of official vehicles for the next two final tournaments of UEFA's flagship national-team competition, the UEFA European Championship.

Chevrolet and Manchester United

The General Motor's car brand has one of the most valued crown in possession, Manchester United. The widely acclaimed football club signed a deal with Chevrolet in July 2012, making them the club’s principal sponsor from the beginning of the 2014 season. This allowed Chevrolet to put there logo on the Red Devil's jersey which costed to be a deal of staggering £357 million.

Vauxhall with the Home Nations

Vauxhall couldn't grab a big name to its commercials but the Brirish manufacturer bagged a three-and-a-half-year deal to become the lead partner to the national teams of the UK. Vauxhall Managing Director Duncan Aldred said, “Football and cars are two of the UK's greatest passions, and these partnerships are a clear and unequivocal sign that Vauxhall is determined to be the UK's number one supporter of football.”

Volkswagen and Wolfsburg

The German Automotive giant cannot be left behind when we are talking about cars. Volkswagen nearly owns a football club moniker - Vfl Wolfsburg. Vfl Wolfsburg is a wholly owned subsidiary of Volkswagen Group, which is also headquartered in Wolfsburg.

Hyundai, Kia and FIFA

The Japanese and Koreans are not behind in the race as well. Hyundai and Kia straight away went to the mecca of football event, FIFA. These brands have been the Official Automotive Partners of FIFA since 1999.The agreement includes exclusive sponsorship's to all FIFA competitions held throughout the world. With upcoming World Cups being held in Russia in 2018 and Qatar in 2022, Hyundai and Kia are guaranteeing exposure in some of the fastest-growing economies.

Jeep and Juventus

Juventus jersey signify supremacy in Italian football, the green, white and red badges flow in the centre is highlighted by a badge indicating Jeep.The Jeep brand is proud to partner with a team that wears black and white stripes. A similar story can be told about the iconic seven-slot grille that all Jeep brand vehicles wear with pride. Tradition and reputation must always be upheld.
