2020 Proton Preve image leaked online

KUALA LUMPUR: We have a piece of pretty big news, which concerns one of Malaysian’s top automaker, Proton, and its upcoming offering. Found circulated on the internet are images of what is suspected to be of the 2020 Protron Perve.

Well, it looks like after its partnership with Geely there is no stopping for Proton. First came in the brand’s first ever SUV, the X70, then the 2019 Iriz and revised Persona, and the latest one being the all-new Exora. We even reported about a camouflaged Proton Saga doing rounds in Malaysia. Well, now the model in focus is the upcoming Preve which is nothing but a rebadged Geely sedan.

The Geely car in our mind that we think would be offered as the 2020 Preve locally is the Emgrand GT. Why? Well, it is a four-door fastback like the Preve with dimensions matching the Proton sedan as well.

Some information about the Geely sedan, a.k.a., future Preve

• The Emgrand GT showcases a fastback design that gives the car a strong road presence and a dramatic appeal
• The character lines on the side profile look fantastic giving the car an extended look and feel
• The rear end is well-sculpted and creates an imposing public and eye-catching image
• The Geely sedan is available in three mill options. However, the new Preve is expected to be powered by a 1.8-litre direct-injection turbo mill
