2021 Nissan Armada facelift soon coming to the US

KUALA LUMPUR: It was only yesterday that we learned about the soon arrival of the 2021 Kicks in the US market and now joining it is the new Armada SUV. Both the facelifted crossover and SUV will make a debut in the American market on 8th December 2020. Before the two cars appear on the US stage, let’s see what’s on offer.

Nissan America recently posted a teaser image of the facelifted Armada and Kicks, which though isn’t very revealing but drops a few hints about the two cars.

The 2021 Armada seems to follow in the footsteps of the recently revised Nissan Patrol that is being offered in the Middle East market. The new Armada will therefore benefit from an edgier exterior including the brand’s signature V-Motion grille, new front bumper, restyled organic C-signature LED lights, bulgy hood, bold taillight design with smart sequential indicators, and new aesthetic wheels with matte chrome finish. Also, going by the dynamic Patrol design theme, the Armada SUV is expected to feature several aerodynamic corners inspired by the iconic NISMO design.

On the inside, the 2021 Armada may carry forward the previous model elements, however, if it decides to tally Petrol offerings then it’ll get 13-perfectly placed Bose speakers, improved noise reduction, advanced 7-inch driver-assist display with real-time navigation, audio playlist, trip details, and fuel economy, 8-inch infotainment display with multi-function gesture function, secondary 7-inch screen with icon-based menu, and a built-in cooler box.

Nissan is numb about the Armada’s under the hood configuration, however, we expect it to be powered by the tried and tested 5.6-litre naturally-aspirated V8 mill making 390 hp and 534 Nm of torque. On the transmission front, could be the Navara’s 7-speed automatic gearbox. Besides, we also hope to see Nissan’s Hydraulic Body Motion Control system that’ll help make the drive smoother and flatter.
