KUALA LUMPUR:  Ahead of introducing the all-new 2023 Haval H6 facelift in the home market, the Chinese marque Great Wall Motors has unveiled a few exterior images of the updated SUV.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • What’s new on the 2023 Haval H6 facelift?

The all-new 2023 Haval H6 facelift benefits from a new closed-off grille and a prominent lower intake on the front bumper.
  • When will the Haval H6 launch in Malaysia?

Previewed at the 2023 Malaysia Auto Show held in May, the Haval H6 is set to launch in the fourth quarter of 2023.
  • The new Haval H6 benefits from a refreshed front end with a new grille as the biggest change. The automaker has replaced the traditional chrome grille with a new closed-off unit that resembles the one we see on electric vehicles. However, to ensure that the combustion engine behind it does not suffocate, a prominent lower intake has been added to the front bumper.

Also, parts of the updated exterior kit are revised LED headlights that boast new graphics housing several diagonal bars on the lower edges.

Well, that was the story of the front. Speaking about the rear, changes are yet to be seen as the automaker has kept it under wraps for now. Similarly, the 2023 Haval H6 facelift interior also remains a mystery as the automaker has not yet revealed any details or images, leaving enthusiasts in anticipation.

In terms of mechanicals, the upcoming Haval H6 is likely to get a comprehensive range of drivetrains, including hybrid as well as plug-in hybrid options. While specific details about the upcoming powertrains are not available at the moment, we can refer to the existing units for a general understanding of what to expect in terms of performance.

The ongoing hybrid unit features a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol mill and an electric motor, combinedly delivering a maximum power of 243 PS and a peak torque of 530 Nm. The plug-in hybrid, on the contrary, combines a combustion engine and e-motor for a total output of 326 PS and 530 Nm. Both mills come paired with a 2-speed Dedicated Hybrid Transmission.
