Mitsubishi Xforce: Top 5 things to know
Design based on the concept of ‘Silky & Solid’
The Xforce underpins the Silky & Solid design concept inside and out, combining elegance and robustness for a commanding presence in ASEAN cities. The upper body of the SUV has an airy silkiness, with a floating roof and a sleek surface that extends from the three-diamond front emblem to the rear. On the contrary, the lower part features solid and powerful proportions with the muscular fender flares and sculpted fender flares.
The evolved Dynamic Shield front face exudes a bold vibe, featuring a striking grille, distinctive T-shaped lighting signature, and L-shaped LED daytime running lights. The rear boasts a wide and confident look with T-shaped LED tail lights.
Inside, the instrument cluster features a horizontal-axis design with a wide layout, creating a more open and spacious feel. It is the first Mitsubishi model that utilises mélange fabric for the padding of the instrument panel, for a cosy and modern look. The fabric is resistant to stains, making it practical and comfortable for everyday use.

Equipped with a high-efficiency CVT
The Xforce comes powered by a proven 1.5L DOHC 16-valve MIVEC engine that generates a maximum power of 105 PS and a peak torque of 141 Nm. The engine is paired with a high-efficiency CVT that promises low fuel consumption and quiet operation.
When the driver presses the accelerator hard, it offers a powerful and sharp acceleration with a simulated gear-shift feel. However, when the accelerator is lightly pressed, it provides smooth shifting unique to CVT, maximising engine performance while achieving low fuel consumption and quietness.

Well-tuned suspension setup and drive modes
The Mitsubishi Xforce underwent extensive testing in Japan on courses that replicate the ASEAN road conditions and thus ensure a comfortable ride even on rough or undulating roads. It features an optimised caster trail and a quicker steering gear ratio, offering improved steering feel and straight-line stability in the front. As for the rear, steering stability is improved by optimising the suspension bushings and the shock absorber cylinder size.
Although the upcoming Mitsubishi SUV is a two-wheel drive SUV, it utilises the brand’s four-wheel control technology with four drive modes - Normal, Wet, Gravel, and Mud. These enable the SUV to handle different types of road conditions by integrating Active Yaw Control, traction control, engine control, and power steering control. Mitsubishi's first Wet mode improves cornering and stability on wet roads during rain.

Riding on 18-inch wheels, the Indonesia-spec Xforce comes with a class-leading ground clearance of 222 mm, making driving easy on rough or flooded roads. Adding to the confidence when going over a pavement edge are best in class approach angle and departure angle, measured at 21.0 degrees and 30.5 degrees, respectively. The minimum turning radius, on the other hand, is claimed to be one of the smallest in its class, promising excellent handling even in the U-turns common in ASEAN cities.
Versatile storage spaces and multi-arrange cargo space
Designed with a focus on comfort and practicality, the SUV offers ample and convenient storage spaces throughout the cabin. It includes -
- Drink holders in the door trims, floor console, and other places, accommodating a total of 21 600 mL plastic bottles
- A drink cooler in the console box
- A dedicated phone storage near each seat
The Xforce has one of the largest cargo floor spaces in the segment, featuring a height-adjustable cargo floor that can accommodate large items such as suitcases. Adding to the flexibility is 40:20:40 split-folding rear seats, enabling the loading of lengthy items while providing comfortable seating space for four passengers.
