BMW Malaysia adds three i Charging facilities

KUALA LUMPUR: To grow and support electric mobility, we need a solid charging station network. BMW Malaysia seems to be doing the same by installing more and more of its i Charging facilities in the country.

Recently the German automaker along with Tian Siang Premium Auto installed three new BMW i Charging units in Penang. Where? At the Prestige Hotel in George Town and the Light Hotel in Seberang Jaya. These new facilities will supplement the existing charging units at Iconic Hotel and Gurney Paragon Mall.

On the installation of new BMW i Charging facilities, Tian Siang, Dealer Principal, Tian Siang Premium Auto said, “The three new BMW i Charging facilities are added to the ten existing facilities we introduced previously across Ipoh and Penang. As we continue to grow the charging infrastructure in these states, we look forward to strengthening the confidence in Electrified Mobility – to which we have seen progressively grow in the past few years,”

Raj Kumar, General Manager, The Light Hotel expressed the need to move with time for the hotel and adding an i Charging is a step in the right direction as it is a way to adapt to mobility changes. He said, “By providing BMW i Charging facilities here, we hope to appeal to guests and future business prospects with a sustainable business practice that benefits the environment.”

Likewise, Melvin Ooi, General Manager of The Prestige Hotel was also thrilled about the new addition as it will meet the growing demand for charging infrastructure amongst customers.

Prior to this Tian Siang Premium Auto installed the BMW i Charging facilities in Ipoh, at the Banjaran Hot Springs Retreat and the WEIL Hotel.
